Digital Illustration
A collection of custom streaming emotes and badges designed for Kick, YouTube, and NimoTv streamers. Hand-drawn, expressive, and tailored to each streamer’s personality. Featuring original character sketches, polished digital illustration, clean line-art, and stylized emotions made for maximum readability in small sizes.
Each emote begins with a hand-drawn sketch to capture the creator’s personality, energy, and humor.
Once the expression and style feel right, I refine the design digitally—cleaning the line-art, adjusting proportions for small-size clarity, and enhancing colors to keep the emote bold and readable even at 28px.
Every emote is crafted to feel fun, unique, and instantly recognizable in chat. Whether it’s a hype reaction, a funny expression, or a personalized mascot, each design is made to help creators build a stronger and more expressive community identity.
Overview
This project focuses on creating a full set of custom streaming emotes for a content creator who wanted fun, expressive, and highly recognizable emojis that represented their personality on Twitch and YouTube.
The Challenge
The streamer needed 10 unique emotes based on their face — each one expressing a different emotion, reaction, or in-chat vibe.
The goal was to make every emoji:
Original
Instantly readable at small sizes
Cartoonic and expressive
Consistent in style
True to the creator’s personality
My Process
1. Hand-Drawn Illustrations in Adobe Illustrator
I began by sketching the streamer’s face and turning it into a simplified cartoon version.
From the base illustration, I created 10 different emotes, each with its own expression such as hype, rage, love, laughter, shock, or “GG”.
Every emote was drawn by hand, focusing on clear shapes, bold lines, and exaggerated expressions so they would look great even at 28px.
2. Coloring & Line Art
Each emoji was cleaned, refined, and colored in Illustrator.
This step ensured:

clean outlines
expressive features
3. Presentation Posters in Adobe Photoshop
To showcase the emotes professionally, I created two posters, each containing a set of five emojis.
In Photoshop, I:
arranged the emojis in a balanced layout
added subtle lighting and background effects
enhanced the colors for a polished final look
made them visually appealing for portfolio display
